Ace of spades tree services is a small, local tree surgery company run by life long friends, James and Phil, who specialise in the pruning and total removal of large trees.
We have been providing horticultural and arboricultural services to Stockton Heath, Appleton, Grappenhall, Warrington, Cheshire and the North West for over 10 years with a reputation for being as passionate about tree care as we are about providing great customer service.
We are both professional climbing tree surgeons, LANTRA and NPTC qualified to the highest level and fully insured and equipped to remove the largest trees in the northwest.
We only use top of the range, market leading equipment ensuring all of our work is completed in a safe and efficient manner at the best possible price for our clients. We also own and maintain all of our vans, chippers and stump grinders to avoid passing on any expensive plant hire costs.
We offer the full range of tree services including removal, crown lifting, crown reduction, crown thinning, formative pruning, pollarding, site clearance, hedge cutting, stump grinding and replanting.
We provide free, no obligation quotations on jobs that can be done in half an hour through to fortnight long site clearances. After initial contact we aim to price up within 3 to 5 days and can accommodate most work within 2 to 3 weeks with the exception being protected trees subject to a 6 week application process.
As big tree specialists a lot of the trees we work on are protected by law, either in conservation areas or covered by tree preservation orders. We can offer advice and guidance for proposed work and handle the applications required to obtain the relevant permissions.
We closely adhere to industry best practices and legislation with all of our work conforming to the British Standard for Tree Works BS3998:2010 and in accordance with the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998. To minimise the environmental impact associated with tree removal we recycle all of our waste products. The wood chipping from the smaller branches is processed in to biomass fuel and all of our logs, both soft wood and hard wood, are processed for firewood.
